Hi! I’m Bethaney.
The truth is, I’ve been where you are. For real! But I am a much better version of myself now.

I remember having to read this silly book during my college senior year internship course called Quarterlife Crisis: The Unique Challenges of Life in Your Twenties. All I could think about when I read it was: what the hell does this have to do with me?!

I was 22, about to graduate college, and had it ALL figured out…
Until I didn’t.
Fast-forward two years, a move from the Midwest to Fort Myers, a failed relationship, and a dead-end job. Now I was 24. I hated my job. My social life was non-existent. I was dating men who were completely wrong for me. Oh, and did I mention I lived with my parents? I was depressed and so hopeless that my life could be what I dreamed for myself that day so very long ago. Basically, I lost myself. I didn’t like the person I had become. And the worst part? I had no idea how to “fix” it.

Just like the book foreshadowed, I felt like I had nothing going for me, and it felt like I was drowning in my disappointment. It’s miserable to feel like life can’t get any worse; to feel lost, lonely, and completely hopeless for your future. The fear of never accomplishing the dreams you had for yourself can be paralyzing.

So, do you want to know what I did?
I tried to fix it myself, of course!
Spoiler alert: that didn’t work (I know, you’re shocked)

So then I went to see a counselor. True story!
And then this amazing thing happened…life actually got better!
So, I was where you are. And I get how miserable you are. It’s a shame that so many women out there feel the way they do for so long. Every young woman deserves to have a healthy relationship with herself. Every young woman deserves to confidently set the bar higher (and higher!) for herself. EVERY WOMAN DESERVES TO BE HAPPY!

Now, I’m a licensed mental health counselor (FL MH 12054) who utilizes rational emotive behavior therapy to help my clients meet their goals. I believe the way we think and believe has an impact on how we feel and act. I can and will help you challenge and change those unrealistic and often self-defeating beliefs, allowing you to think, feel, and act in healthier and more productive ways!

I’m also a Certified ADHD Clini-Coach®. I help wives of husbands with ADHD end relationship chaos and find peace at home. Specifically, I provide support for neurotypical (translation: non-ADHD) wives of neurodivergent (ADHD) husbands who want to care for themselves and their families better. I help women redefine the life they have into the one they’ve always wanted! If that’s you, head over to www.CoachBethaney.com for more information on how to work with me.
